报告摘要:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The BLOeM (Binarity at Low Metallicity) survey is an ESO Large Program conducted from 2023 to 2025, observing approximately 1000 massive stars in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) over 25 epochs. The survey is the largest and most homogeneous spectroscopic survey of massive stars at the lowest metallicity to date. It will measure stellar properties including the binary fraction, rotational velocities, surface chemical abundances, and so on. It also has the potential to detect interesting systems such as inert black hole–main-sequence binaries and partially stripped stars. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the program and discuss how it will improve our understanding of massive star evolution in the near future.
